Parents Annoying Habbits

If my Dad gets annoyed he'll go into a cleaning frenzy and clean the whole house and then start shouting at me for leaving things untidy

He also shouts down the phone when talking to people...

Watching him on the computer annoys me so much, he takes about 2 hours to type a word and he also has the idea that Ask Jeeves is a real person, he'll type a full question out and then get annoyed if it doesnt bring up what he wanted

Oh and he has no patience at all, the other day he was trying to put shoes on the shoe rack but as he put 1 pair on another pair fell off  so he threw the shoe rack :S

My mum aint too bad

i HATE the fact that everytime it comes to me having a wank either my mum or dad will come upstairs so ill have to stop as they normally come in, it just seems to happens everytime.

i hate that when my mum does the pots she NEVER does it right and when i moan about stuff not being clean she gets in a strop and we argue.

My mum does that, it's unreal, you can hear herphone convo's from all round the house.

My mum is terrible for estimating time's. If i say 'I will see you in 10 minutes' I will see you in 10 minutes, unless your late. My mum, on the otherhand, will say 'see you in 5 minutes' and won't turn up until 15 minutes later. Half the time I think she means to say 'i'll leave in 5 minutes.l'

Also, I detest my parents going on my computer, they just don't know how to use a search engine at all. half the time they end up typing a valid url into the google search, and end up cl;icking on one of the links that appears below, but not the right one. I've told them many times that if it's got a .something at the end, stick it in the address bar, but of course what would I know?

my mum really shouts on the phone aswell especially if she can't her you very well she thins " if i can't her them they must not be able to hear me"

aslo she is shit at times, she rings me up and asks what time i want picking up at i say 5 for example and then when i get to the car she wil say where have you bin ive been waiting for 20 mins, so i just reply well dnt come so f**king early then as its 5 now!!!

anyway rant over

my parents are very like with jakes :S as she is also shite on computers but my dads getting better now.

In total, our house of 5 people we used to spend - £250 a YEAR on water (between 5, so £50 each), then about £50-£70 each per QUARTER on electricity & gas.

The thing is that those numbers won't change much if there's 10 people or 2 people living in the house. cos the same amount of lights are on and the same amount of radiators. most of the water bill is flat rates for sewage and crap like that - even if you are metered

don't forget the other little monthly expenditures - £80 - 100 or so for council tax, £10 for line rental on the landline, £10 for tv license, £15 or so for broadband and so on.

It does seem a fair old pile of money for your mum to charge but if you're working fulltime and she's not payed off the mortgage yet you can kind of see where she's coming from. You can be fairly certain it aint gonna get any cheaper if you move out.

HAHAHA! my parents do almost everything in this thread (except the rent part, Ooo that's harsh).

The food thing is so annoying, my mum should of been a chef cos all she talks about is food. Then when i grab a load of stuff to eat she's like "wow! are you really that hungry!"

But when they go away and i'm lookign after my brother i find myself doing the same thing...arhhhh!

And on the computer when it 'breaks' and i come down to fix it my dad follows the mouse all over the screen like a kitten with a ball of string looking more and more confused, then they are like "why can't you teach us all this stuff" when they can barely do the basics anyway...grrr.

Also, my mum is always talking about how much housework she does and how hard it is, so i go to grab the hoover and she's like "oh i was going to do that you go watch tv".... :ermm:

And finally, my mum is really really nosey, say i come in and tell her a quick story about someone at work or somthing, i'll later find her looking them up in the phone book to see how close they live and stuff like that.

She is seriously the nosiest person ever, then when i tell her she gets really offended and sulks. :turned:

HAHAHA! but they are so funny, they would be boring if they were really smart and stuff, i love picking on them ^_^

Oh and he has no patience at all, the other day he was trying to put shoes on the shoe rack but as he put 1 pair on another pair fell off  so he threw the shoe rack :S

Sounds like me that when I cant do something haha

I get that from my dad.

1 thing my mum does that is annoying as f**k is if I get a part of my shoe on the carpet before taking them off in the porch, shes f**king ape shit and is like "you will pay me for a new carpet if you dirty it!!" haha stupid git.

Dad is just generally a mad scotsman and shouts at me if I dont go college, im like "I chose to go college, if I dont go then its my choice" and he gets in a pissy fit over it

Hahahaha I literally cried laughing then. Class.

Thought of another few things my parents do that annoy me:

Sometimes if my mum hears me talking about something with my mates she'll come on T-F and see if I've posted about it on here. :ermm:

My dad's just got a new mobile and a new TV, he never bothers to read the instructions and just asks me if I know how to work it. :turned:

He gets well pissy over the smallest things too if I say I don't want steak for tea on a Friday he'll not speak to me and go into a stress.

I'll probably think of more to add later. Haha

Its all the little things that irritate me about my parents.

Mum:

Everytime she walks in a room she looks around to see if theres anything thats untidy so she can have a go at someone about it.

Following on from that when she does find something she never asks for it to be put away, she just goes into shouting/screech mode and bellowes for it to be moved/tidy'd. Another method is to find something lieing around and ask whoever it belongs to if they know who left it there, like she'll find a multitool on the side and ask me if i know who left ti there... it was my little sister for sure :D !

She doesn't like me leaving dirty pots in the kitchen and wants me to wash them up while my food is sat on the side getting cold.

Dad:

Can't use a computer to save his life even though he's been using them since i was little. He's only just grasped the idea of opening up firefox and typing addresses into it, though both rents do the whole typing the url into the google search stupidness.

Leaves things on the floor, on the side, on the chair, everywhere really.

Stays up late at night till like 1.00 for no reason at all. Sometimes he's just standing in the lounge in the dark for around an hour. This results in him being tired in the evenings around 5.00 - 8.00 and he falls asleep in the chair (snores too), moans when i throw a cushion at him.

Expects everyone to do things for him willingly, for example i must be completely free of any plans that i might have to go out so that i can help himsend an e-mail attachment... goes in an arse when i just go out anyway.

Goes in an arse if he doesn't get his own way. little kid!

Wow that was really calming in a way, writing all these things out. on the plus side though my parents both care consideratly about me and are always there to help me out. If i'm out of cash my dad won't hesitate to lend me some money till the end of the month when i get payed next. My mum is always there to listen to any problems that i might have and never usually gets too mad if i get into shit and am worried about the consequences.

Does anyone parents actually go out, or is it just mine that sit in day in day out? Its so annoying, its my birthday on Wednesday, and me and my missus are spending this weekend together at mine because my folks are going to Whitby for the weekend...she stops here a lot anyway, but its nice to have the house to ourselves...then we can shag in the bath...joke...its really difficult.

Anyway, so, instead of going away NEXT weekend as planned, they're going this weekend!!! Prefect.

Sounds funny but beleive me, lieing in bed not being able to get to sleep because he yawns every 30 seconds is very irritating!

Its like he yawns, then does nothing, then 30-40 seconds later he yawns again. Then stretches and yawns, then he's back to just yawning again for the next 5 minutes. If i ever go down to see what he's doing when i turn the light on he's just stood in the middle of the room. Its THE most bizarre thing i've ever known a humna being to do.

Mum (and sister) Have the TV on so bloody loud.

Then complain when I walk in and turn it down.

Seriously...I can hear it when i'm in the garage!

She won't let me have the PC in my room, when I'm actually the only one who uses it.

It's so annoying in here.

Living room behind me, a big open gap, where these double door things used to be, between where the living room and dining room is.

I'm in the dining room.

Then she complains when I play my music too loud.

BECUASE I CAN'T FECKING HERE IT BECUASE OF THE TV!

Now, just recently, she bought a TV for the kitchen.

THE BLOODY KITCHEN!

Which is to my left, and another open gap.

Then she has that on really loud, whilst the TV in the living room is on, with no-one bloody watching it.

She always moans that I don't help her out, like walking the dog, cleaning etc.

When I do more then my sister, and I get the blame.

Plus she said the dog's too strong for me. When she's not.

She moans at me for eating dinner late, or not eating it, or moans at me for eating dinner, then eating afterwards :P

Step-Dad - Just moans at me for leaving tools everywhere. And I mean everywhere :P

Which is understandable..

That's about it though..for him. Hardly ever see him, as he's a continetal lorry driver.

My Dad doesn't annoy me at all.

I don't live with him (Note: Step-Dad)

But he'll happily give me some money when I'm in need of it.

For bike parts, taxis to work, Bus fair etc.

I know i've said alot of things about my mum...

And she does annoy me a lot..

But she does help out.

Like when my bike got nicked etc.

She drove me about everywhere to track it down.

And helped me out calling the police everyday while I was at school.

And is basically my Taxi everywhere :P

And..I am pretty lazy :P

So most of it is understandable

But we're getting better :)

My mum annoys me because she's pretty computer illiterate, yet she uses a computer all the time for work. You would have thought she would learn, but she's always asking me stupid questions. But that's just me being a bit of a geek child of the computer generation, I don't really understand how anyone can find the concept of windows (as in folders and files etc) so confusing.

But the single most annoying thing is double-clicking on web links...

Only thing that annoys me about my parents is that they are happy to sit on the internet for a good 5 minutes.. literally 5 - 10 minutes in fact waiting for a webpage to load on dialup because the connection was wank and it connected at like 15000 instead of like 50000. They are like.. the internets slow today.. no shit! youve been sat there. My dad spent like 6 hours going on 3 sites .. he actually went and cooked some food while he waited for the page to load. They then go on about how we should ge broadband.. but then no one can be bothered to sort it out. AGHH

But apart from that they are amazing! the older i get the more i appreciate them and love their "annoying" habits.

My room is above my parents and when i go to bed they snore so loud it sounds like they're having a converstion! My dad goes on ebay all the time to look at the same stuff everyday. Royal green Jackets stuff and sweep (from sooty) stuff. When my little sister gets in from skool (at about 3:15) she goes on the pc until she goes to bed (about 11). That annoyed the hell out of me, got my own pc now so i'm sorted. Before my dad goes to bed he ALWAYS says to me,'don't be too long on their (pc) you got work in the morning.' my reply to that is a half-arsed 'yeah'
