Greetings
Id like to set my chain to be fairly tight so it doesnt bash the frame, but I can't because something is not straight in the drivetrain and the chain loosens and tightens while pedaling.I'd understand it if the cranks, chainring, bb and hub weren't new. The chain has no tight links. The cranks are screwed in straight and hard. Had the same problem with my old drivetrain, only it wasnt so severe. Any advice on what could be wrong? CBProductions
Yeah same here , I was wondering if it effects the amount of power you can put out for pedal ups e.t.c ?

joshywa
i'd sugest buy a new chain...... your loss of tension problem could just be down to it being stretched or not
Dr. Nick Riviera
nowt to be proud of. does your drivetrain eat cogs as well?
Jaffacakes
nowt to be proud of. does your drivetrain eat cogs as well?Somehow it doesn't. I just can't run any split links because they go in minutes . I've been meaning to buy a new BB for a while but new frame in a week so meh. Greetings
Yeah same here , I was wondering if it effects the amount of power you can put out for pedal ups e.t.c ?yes if the centre of the sprocket is not "in the centre" of the crank you will either have a slightly stronger or weaker pedalkick/up but this is only theory and i dont think anybody would realise it - the offset is no more than 1mmif the chainrings are not straight one could use a file to shape the teeth to the right diameterthis is bloody annoying - you pay 20 pounds to get a proper chainring and you cant use it
