mr kenny
hey, ive fitted a braided hose to my maggie and the rebound on the pads is terrible i have bled them as i always have done with normal hoses so why are the pads taking a god awful time to run mack into the pistony bit??i do not want to change the lhm fluid i use cause i am still sceptical about waaater,so i'm sticking with the citreon suspension oil that they were designed for has anyone else had theis trouble?what can i do apart from a water/wd40 bleed?cheers kenny
Dan6061
I have this problem with one of my cylinders.. Maybe we just have some gunk in them? Try taking it all apart, and cleaning it all out, then try again I will when I can be bothered, but mine's not as bad after a fresh bleed
ogre
Suspension oil? Isn't that evil on seals?
mat hudson
the hose has a smaller internal diameter so the fluid cannot move as quickley. blead with water.

Shame he doesn't wanna bleed with water though... Might be for the best though? or you could just sell the braided hose and use 'normal' plastic ones? Krisboats
Well it looks like you're either going to have to stick with your oil and have a slow return or you can bleed it with water and have a much faster return. I've had water in my magura for over 6 months now with no problems at all, and i know theres other people who have had it in for longer. Its like mark said, magura's come with black pads but we change those to one's that will work better for trials... why is everyone so scared to do the same with what they bleed it with? There is the other option that you can take the lever off, the get some needle nose pliers and GENTLY pull the little piston out and give the spring that sits behind it a bit of a stretch... i've done this to mine and it made my brake fell much more lively. I am in no way responsible fo you f**king your magura up by being heavy handed and attacking the seals with the pliers or dropping it on the floor and standing on it . Jaffacakes
If you don't want to bleed it with water you could always bleed it with WD40. If you spray a load into a jar and leave it for 1-2 weeks it will seperate leaving a thick gack at the top and a nice thin oil at the bottom.Just get a serynge or a hose or anyway you can think of taping the good oil out of the bottom then bleed your break with it. It won't damage your seals and will have a nice fast spring and a good strong feel to it .
