011001000110010101110010
Steve A has done the 24/26 wheel combo and he said it was pretty pointless and that it didnt have any real advantage over two 24" wheels.
Steve-A
When I tried it, it was less than pointless. The 26" frontwheel effectivly slackened, so the streeting felt slower and less responsive. It also just kinda felt weird, the bike moved in odd ways, like its balence was upset. On the backwheel it felt no different, though when compressing for gaps it was easier to knock the front wheel on things, becuase it was lower off the floor than when runnnig a 24" wheel. The only thing I couldn't try was reducing my bar height to counter the extra hegith due to bigger wheel, as I run a low bar height anyway, so maybe worth a try, but IMO 24"/24" is much better. If your looking for a good rim, try and find one of the oddyssey pro factor bmx rims in 24", someones selling one in for sale/wanted. I've been running mine on the back for a year now, its holds grinds like a 521 and has been rediculously strong. If you cant find one the 24" DX32s would be my next choice.
