B.E.A.U
Hay. Get a nice sharp grind on there mate and I would suggest getting either, Plaz pads. They work imense in smooth rims but even better on a grind. Get majik pads off matt or sexy mike. I am useing them now and they are my favourite pads out of everything. Coust pads. ive seen them in action to. tehy are also imense. Get them off fat mike or heatsink bikes. Koxx bloxx greens, they work realy well on a good grind.Majik pads are a sort of hard compound but with a nice sharp grind and set up well there the best pads n market in my opinion. Coust pads are a medium material i think. Fat mike uses them and oh my god they are loud and hold imense. Plaz pads are a softer compound out of them, but they hold the best. Koxx bloxx greens are medium, they work imense also if set up right. i hve used all of these pads apart from coust but i have played on coust pads and they worked imesne. But my majik pads are great.Hope any of this gobble helped. Beau
the judge
Majik pads are a sort of hard compound but with a nice sharp grind and set up well there the best pads n market in my opinion. They're also the cheapest as well I believe, good deal if you ask me. Some people that I ride with have them and they have great bite and hold

am4zin
A few people on here use the zoo! pads which are meant to be pretty good, though I think they wear down quite quickly on a grind.
the ug man
on the zoo pads i have i have hade for over a year and they are not even half way down yet and i have a gring sum times at ther moment i have a smoth rim an thay look on so well best ones i have ever had hope this helps
Ewannnn
if you are putting a grind i would recommend the koxx bloxx browns, last for ages and are superb at holding the brake, also the Majic pads (which i am using at the moment) are very good on a grindkeiron they are £10 from www.mjcycles.comthey are amazing for the price Edited February 20, 2006 by Ewannnn

Burton
Coustsinks.£19, and worth every penny.I've had mine on for about 2 months now, only worn a few mill, to the shape of my rim (hog - which have curved sidewalls).Work straight out of the packet. Whack em, on a new grind (doesnt have to be sharp/deeeeep).Majic pads are poor. Me mate has some and they dont hold, dont even make a loud, or trust worthy sound.Plazmatic CRM are good pads, more bite than Coustsinks, but when water touches them, your f*cked. Dont work in the wet. Cousts do!!!www.heatsinkbikes.comNot being biased, because the blue pads dont work in the rear, and i think they are pants. But SICK good in the front, for some strange reason Edited February 20, 2006 by dan_t-lite
mat hudson
majic pads are pretty good. best pad for lock, bite and hold i have tried (not bad with a moist rim either ) the wear rate was pretty scary at first, but they have settled themselves down now and the wear rate seams ok.just read the above post. majics scream like bansheeeeeees the noise is crazy. they are better than coust pads by a long way. they work in the wet. stiffnips
I've just ordered some of those tensile bubblegum pads, has anyone used them before? They look pretty good they have the same backings as the coust pads and I've heard they work well so i thought i would give them a shot. Nick. flipkickbs
There seem to be more topics about brakepads than anything else. I think people are getting way too bothered about having the best brake, where as even with the best brake in the world, its not really going to improve your riding (unless your going from a not existant brake of course). Most after maket pads can be brilliant, but its 90% down to how the brake is set up, for example. I had coust pads for a while, and when i had a sharp grind, a good bleed, and straight pads, my brake was amazing, then my pad moved out to an angle and my brake went to nothing. I've been on a friends bike who ran koxx greens better than any coust pads, simply due to the set up. I think that before people go out spending a load of cash on some super squealing pads, they should try to better their existing setup, and in most cases, this should improve braking performance at no extra cost!Ian Edited February 21, 2006 by flipkickbs
