minitrialer
There is now a virus for Macs < mac users click on that to begin the nervous breakdown process, as far as i know it's not a hoax. Don't slate me if it is though, read about it yourself i have only just started reading about it.
Simon
And if you read it before posting, you will notice it's complete bollocks. It seems the virus doesn't actually do anything much at all, and even the things it does, it does them very poorly. Not only that, but to actually get it, you need to be retard and accept the file, then un-rar it, then run the image file.I wouldn't worry, really. minitrialer
yer i did read that before posting, however if they can make one, they can make millions, they said it is more of a warning letting people know it is possible. It's actually quite a good read if any one is interested you can find a few threads on it and its also on the BBC news

Simon
tee bee aitch whats the point? This is the other reason you need not worry.*nix viruses have been around since the dawn of man, but any self respecting cracker won't bother writing a viruses for *nix. Not only is it stupidly complex, as that article proves, but why make a virus for *nix which would take years, and only effect like 10% of the home computer market, and even less of the business market, when you could make a virus in days that would effect 89% of the home computer market, and even more of the business market.Maximizing you're damage. Tomm
Maximizing you're damage.Who are you calling damage? There have been two new viruses in the last week for Mac's. But both have been "proof of concept" things, just to show that they could be done. And yeah, they don't really do much, and you have to click "install" or something daft like that. But it is pretty naive to think that we're immune. I don't know how much it is that Mac's are invulnerable, or if it is just that people don't bother writing viruses. At least there aren't 65 Million viruses out there for Mac's.
