Jaffacakes
Don't grind your rims just get zoo! pads. I have got mine on a light grind and my break works stupidly well. They only last about 4 months on a grind but ages on a smooth rim.
Ewannnn
bah, grind your rims and buy some koxx bloxx greens or blue, amazing in the dry and wet and will last you quite a few months with the grind

Street Lee
I've got red kool stop maggy pads on a light grind on the front and I love them long time. Whap a light grind on and see what you think, they can only be better than they are now...
<PACE>
It does work but your pads would be dead within 3 good rides because they are meant for a smooth rim. You shud probably go for majic pads or koxx blocks.
Ash-Kennard
i find if you keep your rim clean and non-grinded your brake will be soo nice.or if you want a super sharp brake get plazmatic CRM pads for a smooth rim, apply a tad of tar, and you have the best/loudest brake in europe
Mat Smith!
Seriously, do you guys drag your brake around " 'cause it makes a cool noice!! innnniiiit "I've had koolstops on a harsh grind for 8 months, still goin strong, about 3-4mm of pad left... Another 6 months or so left in them!.... But they suck lol.Wanting some Majics next .Mat
ogre
I run red koolstops on my bike with a grind, and they feel so much better but i want some better pads soon!
1337 Trials
what do you think of coust pads on a light grinded rim done with a stanely knife??? THANK-YOU
nmt_oli
Clean koolstops on a clean smooth rim with a well set up brake, and mabe a very slight amount of tar on one side would be fine. i had bad luck with a grind a magura blacks and koolstops- a very sore ass can testify to that, and the wear rate was less than impressive. 011001000110010101110010
Kool stops will be fine on a grind, certainly alot better than on a smooth rim. Change the pads and there will be a significant improovement.
