Magura Problems?

Common problem, simply because they are plastic, tacky shite. Best bet is to go for the 04 lever and bodge it with a bolt. Or, get hold of a metal screw (replace the red plastic one). Do a search, millions of topics on it. My opinion is to go 2004.

I had the same problem with mine a while ago the best thing you can do is get rid of the leaver body or bodge the TPA if that is posible on the new maggies i'm not sure if you can, but there has been a lot of the same problem and i mean a lot they always f**k upthe 05 leaver bodys. so i think you should get rid of the 05 one and get a 04 one they work a lot better.

hope i'v helped rickyb

2005 Magura levers do generally seem to have faulty TPA's, a couple of people I ride with have had problems, but it is certainly fixable, one of them some how re-tapped it or something, making the threads smoother, and it worked again. I'm not entirely sure how he did it, but he pulled it off.

Yeah I'm having problems aswell in that I can't find them cheaper then £110 unless I find them used which I don't want to do or on ebay which is where someone says it's not used but you can tell it is.

It would also help if I had a bike lol went to check 1 out yesterday but it was a mod and im to big for one of them.

You can get metal 'TPA' for the 05, i have 1. Trying pushing it really hard, mine did it before but its been fine ever since.

Or you could just buy new 04 levers from tarty bikes or CRC and sort out the rest your self. All you need a 8mm spaner and a tub of water to re-bleed them. It will cost you £60 max.

If your only having trouble with one lever why not just replace one lever?

CRC £30 levers

There 2005 maggies...
