doesn't look that special, but some of the design work in that rim could be used to make a very strong and light rim, but i think that one will be quite heavy because it is for BMX but could be used for mod i guess, but i cant see a given weight.

if they make one for stock notify me

When you click on the picture, it says at the top 500g. Thats about the same weight as your average wide rear trials rim, I think (e.g. ronnie/try-all, etc)

BMX companies are being really really innovative recently, like the Odyssey Elemental stem, and the KHE hub, or the new designs of freecoasters they are coming up with.

Trials companies really need to follow suit instead of being happy with what we have.

totally agree - some of the new bmx stuff coming out is awesome, that stem is ace and i want a 24" primo balance rim too!! i freecoaster on my 24" would be lots of fun too

What about a hydraulic gyro? Like it lets you spin your bars 360 without your magura getting tangled?

I've been thinking about this alot, it can work fine, except I need a material which has following properties

Minimal friction between moving parts (like teflon)

Can be made to be air-tight

Ill get some picture up soon, but you think this is a good development? I know Id love to try a barspin drop :D

ive been contemplating a hydrolic giro for over a year and have gotten nowhere, id be very interested to see your design.

EDIT: ive just seen phils post. i remember seeing that and got all excited, but it didn't look very reliable

It's already been made partz. Forgotten who by, but it was in another thread on here.

Freecoaster allows you to freewheel forwards and backwards! No idea how it works, but theyre cool, very expensive though.

The only company I know whos got close is Identiti with their "new" hydra disc DJ bike. Except I cant find any news on it, only what was in MBUK a year or two ago :S

that booster is pretty shit and the extra two bolts don't really do anything. i wish i hadn't got it.

dmr ring thing? that was a major innovation

lol fair enough about the booster, never actually used one.

which ring thing you mean? the origional one for five bolt spiders wasn't really inovative, they just made it readily available - the one that replaced the spider for shimano crank arms was pretty cool.

EDIT: i really hope i am having brain freeze and they are more inovative trials components out there - it would be pretty poo if there weren't
