wardie
I would like run a magura on my mountain bike frame but i didn't think it was possible until i thought of the Heatsink vee adapters. I looked on their website to realise they were for converting 4 bolt too vee ( why anyone would want to do that i don't know lol ). So i was wandering if it was actually possible to do what i want to do, or shall i just search ebay for a cheap vee brake.thankssam

PaRtZ
I don't know about hs11 but bascially the two bolts go in, and small plastic "shoulders" go in the gap inbetween the tyre and the fork leg. As you squeeze the brake, the plastic piece prevents the slave cyclinder for being pushed out of place
Street Lee
Shit, whats that in the second pic? I was looking at making something exactly like that for my pashley! Looking into Vee's now though...
Jaffacakes
Also if i got an hs11 would i be able to buy the 2 bolt mounts so they would fit the brake.Yes you would. They will fit as well because the pistons are the same as the HS33. The only difference is the lever.

basher
dont get hs11 get hs33 and get the evo version. if you are going to get some i would recommend buying from a local shop and not off the internet as they will usually do free fitting, and internet shops sell the brake with to much cable so it will cost you more to get it rebleeded and cut down hope this helps mate
fredrico
Basically a 2-bolt mount works on the same prinicple as the 4-bolt but instead of having the top and bottom bolts going into the frame(well the brake mounts), 2-bolt only has the bottom bolts going into the frame. It then uses little arms to lock against the frame to give the extra support. I hope that made sense Edited February 16, 2006 by fredrico
