G-sport Homer Hub

Haha...saying it weights just under a tonne......Im sure itd be great on the back of a mod :P

Itd be wayy to heavy dude....Stick to whats used...T-master hub? sealed, nice and strong

Yer checking out the site that hub looks HEAVY and its only a freewheel hub not a casset hub.

Another point you can only get a 13th freewheel on meaning you can't run the gearing 90% of mod riders run 18:12.

I say it looks pretti crap for trials, strong, but its not what i can see anyone in the trials world running.

Weights:

Homer = 512g + freewheel

Profile = 317g

T master = 240g

So basicly twice the weight of a T-master.

This is all bmx talk btw

A mate of mine had one on his pashley and it was realllly nice. Very smooth, very study. To build the wheel (i was told) was very easy because of the flange size. His only quibble was axle studs actual bolts instead of allen bolt such as profile hubs, CK hubs etc

Back to trials

I don't think that the homer would be reliable for gapping, cos you're running a freewheel (:$) having said that I've never tried it lol. My mates never skipped on bmx, but that was bmx :S

Oh yeah it isn't that heavy. IN comparison to trials components it is, but even still

G sport spoke _pwn btw :D :D

Surley that was the freewheel though not the hub as its a freewheel hub not casset hub?

You also have to used their spokes because the flanges are super fat. So you might not be able to get the right size ones you need for the wheel build with rear mod rims being smaller.

Thats the vandal hubs, the homers take normal spokes.

12t fixed sprockets screw onto the "microdrive" freewheel threads, so I don't get why people are saying you couldn't run 18:12?

Either way, why bother? They're more expensive than - for example - a T-Master hub, and alright the bearings are better quality in them, but my T-Master hub's been running for 3 years now with no problems. Anyways, just run a "trials" hub :)
