Nick Dale
Ok as you may know i am selling my bike and want to know what is the best courier to use? I know Royal Mail is the norm nowa days but they get a bit funny with things that are to big or weigh to much so what should i do? Do i just phone up Parcel Force direct and arrange something or find another courier? Any help will be grateful Nick.

Michael Hardman
Parcel Force will be about £20, take the bars, pedals and wheels off and it will go into a pretty small box.
nb88
Parcel force also collect it from your house, and you can book a time online. But royal mail standard parcels is cheaper, but also takes longer.

Jaffacakes
I sent a frame through my post office and it was 7 pounds for a 4 day delivery including 150 pound insurance. It is done by weight not size so I think it will probably be about 20 pounds what ever you do.
Lawnmowerman
I use postvan.com to send big stuff. They arrange a courier for you and collect from your house

RicH_87
alansbmx seems to use parceforce too, and i'm guessing they send a fair few bikes...
totaltrials
If you use Parcel force without an account, you can book a collection online 24 hour delivery will cost £17 I think it is, but book online and you get £1 off, the weight limit is 30kg and they never bother measuring boxes but their tolerence is quite high on box sizes, so I think this would be ok for speed, otherwise I would use standard parcel in the post office, 30kg max weight.Phil. street trials rider
30kg is what... 66lbs (atleast) unless you own a "brooklyn bikes rubby ducky" DH rig, you've got nothing to worry about i used parcel force when i sold my BMX, cost me £20 and that weighed about 40lbs
RicH_87
aren't parcels measured by size now, not weight?

BONGO
royal mail is spot on. last week i sent a bmx to joe maher. It has to be under 1.5meters long, which it was, and it has to be under 20kg, which it was. So insured for £500, it cost me £14 to send it with 3 - 5 days delivery. It came after 2 working days.Spot on. it was the first time i'd sent a bike and wasn't sure who to use, but that was sound for me and joe.john
