PaRtZ
Ive just gone to local motor world to get some spray + lacquer and there was a sign there saying that spray paint wont be sold to anyone under 18Now I thought that the age for aerosols was 16?Also it said the knives wouldn't be sold to anyone under 18 and I know for a fact that knives (covered by the offensive weapons act) is 16 because i had a test in morrisons last week.Is this me being dippy, or should I have tried to buy it anyway?cheers
Walleee
the worst they can say is no....Give it a try, find out before you go for sure about aerosols and if your right tell them that, tell them what it's for so they don't think it's for funking stuff up, and if they still say no then at least you've tried. You could allways get a friend/parent to go for you..... Mark W
The aerosol is to stop solvent abuse and shit like that though, isn't it? Whereas spray paint not being sold is probably to try and stop graffiti and shit like that, so it's slightly different in the eyes of the law? benno
Stuff like that can just be store policy, like Pizza hut won't serve alcohol to 16 year olds with a meal, even though it's legal.

I think its all down to the way you dress, dont where tracky's and look shifty when your getting it. I think that was my mistake. Its 16 in wilkinsons and cans are £2.72 and genrally the staff are dozy tennagers therefore will let you. Colours are limited. Its 18 in Boys' and cans are also £2.72 and genrally the staff are old and try to be responsable as this job is the best they have had in their life and dont want to mess it up. Go to the youngest person at the till and if yo are underage they dont really want to ask as it makes them feel uncomfortable.Cal
