Rob_P
As far as I know theres no pics so far, but I think there is ONE built up now. Not sure....*waits for Steve*The geo of the 24uk is something like 1040mm WB+30mm bb rise72? head angle180mm staysand thats ment to be based around the et, although i think the ET was shorter
Dan6061
Geo Is.. Headangle is 73deg. Wheelbase is 1035mm. 10" ST. CS's 380mm
trialsguru
yer im thinking about getting the heatsink frame but im worried that the 1040 will be really long on a
Rob_P
Doubt it, the bb rise will make it feel shorter Im gonna get one
trialsguru
so the ashtons were only 5mm shorter did they have bb rise at all?
Tomm
yer im thinking about getting the heatsink frame but im worried that the 1040 will be really long on a 24I agree really. I'm pretty sure Steve was going to address that and basically copy the Aston ET geo, as that's what people really wanted. Whether the bb rise would "cancel out" the extra length remains to be seen, but I wouldn't really want to take the risk. I made a topic about BB rise on 24's HERE.As far as I know, the Ashton is 1025 wb/+25 bb rise/380mm stays/72º head angle, and that is what the 24UK will be. The Ashton has sorted geo anyway, doesn't need changing IMO so the ashtons were only 5mm shorter did they have bb rise at all?Yep, +25. Also they are not 1035, mine actually measures 1020, I think they are supposed to be 1025, depending on fork obviously.
Todge
I second that. The ashton geometry is spot on. I have ridden some leeson 24's with "tweaked" geometry and they dont quite feel as good.
rich4130
My ashton was 1030+ for sure. Its a little hard to measure it now though, 3 pieces etc..
Heatsink
The first 24UK is indeed built up. [attachmentid=2690]It's currently being gone over with a fine tooth comb aswell as being put through its paces.I'll put some geo of the 1st batch up later on. Baby Callum is fighting to play with the laptop at the moment!Steve

Tomm
Ooooh, looks even nicer built up.Just one quick question: Those stickers - Will they peel off? I like the colour but I don't like the stickers really. There's nothing really wrong with them (in fact the 24UK ones look nice), but I would like to be able to take them off. 011001000110010101110010
Looking good, looks brilliant compared to the zoot. Is it 7005? What sort of heat treating has it had? Also, is it light
mat hudson
i think the raceline maggy makes it look a bit wierd. jons was really nice looking.
TomN
it really remins me of a Base TA26 lol Hmmm not keen on it yet think I need a side picture and maybe different frame job for my liking but great price and that for it though
Heatsink
The frame weighs 2.1kg, and the frame pictured is infact Jon's which some of you may have seen because he's been riding around Bracken Rocks and other places too. I've heard some nice things about people's impressions of seeing it and having a go on it No detailed side on photos to show just yet because we're bringing the frame into 100% harmony with the ET geo, although in its final form the tubing choice and joint design is much improved in our opinion compared to the ET, which should eliminate the various premature failures that occured with the ET at the high stress points. Once you see the detailed photos of the final geo built up frames then I'm sure it will shake off comparisons with other frames and start to carve a unique identity of its own.The stickers can indeed be peeled off so that the frame can be personalised with custom stickers. I have some great contacts for custom stickers making and can get people going with this no problem when the time comes.I will get all the material information and guidance on build components such as BB size etc up on my site in the next couple of days. Frame ETA a few weeks - slightly delayed due to everyone involved falling very ill with a nasty bug, plus family commitments.Steve

fredrico
So say i was going to purchase a 24" frame as a project what should it be because comparing the geo of the 24UK and the zoot they are similar in that the zoot has 2mm bb rise more and 5mm more chainstay length (i dont know what impact that would have) so which one would feel more trialsy yet nimble the zoot or the 24Uk. I hope that made sense.
trialsguru
so am i right in saying the heatsink frame is going to be exactly the same geo as the ashton and it wont be 1040mm wheel base?if thats the case i think ill be buying one, are there any left on the pre order as i really dont want to wait lol
Tomm
so am i right in saying the heatsink frame is going to be exactly the same geo as the ashton and it wont be 1040mm wheel base?I think so yeah. That frame is a one-off and the final geo will be different.PS - Steve I want one too
Heatsink
Here's a summary of the 24UK side-on geo. Should be pretty much the same Ashton ET geo that riders love:Some frames have already been preordered, and you still have about a week to place a preorder and take advantage of the free stuff being thrown in. The ETA is 3 weeks.Steve
