Tomm
You can just use any html proxy (search google for a list of IPs). The downside is that they aren't secure so your forum password will go out to anyone who's watching. And certainly don't put any credit card numbers in... My tip would be to use another browser for proxy surfing, so you don't have to keep changing the internet settings all the time. If you're using Firefox, download Opera, and set that to use the html proxy (it'll be in the browser preferences). And then use Firefox normally, except when you want to go on this site, and you can just load up Opera.

Tomm
OK, you can set internet explorer (or whatever browser) to use what's called a proxy. This is basically another computer somewhere in the world that will re-direct traffic from your computer to the internet and back again. You would do this by going into the browser options (in IE I think it's under tools > preferences, but I don't have a PC here to check). There will be something there that says proxies. If you enter an IP address in there, your computer will go to the internet "through" that other PC. Try HERE for the proxy lists, but I have no idea if these are safe. This should work fine, but for a lot of sites it'll be slower than not using a proxy (because it has to go through another computer on the way). The main thing though is that it's totally unsecure, as the person running the proxy will have full access to whatever you're viewing/sending etc (Including your forum password). So don't EVER use your credit card number. But for just surfing etc it's probably nothing to worry about, and it's unlikely that anyone looking will care about your forum password. And like I said, if you use a different browser just for that one site, you won't forget to stop using the proxy when you don't need it.But try resetting your modem, that might just reset your IP anyway... spode@thinkbikes
If you're ADSL doesn't assign you a static IP address, as said above - try just resetting your router. You may have a fixed IP, or a long-life dynamic, so it's not gauranteed to work - but you haven't said if you've tried it or not, so I thought I'd reiterate it as the best possible solution.Of course, if you've been banned - there is a high chance you did something stupid anyway and deserved it. In which case, I would just take it on the head and move on
