Alastair
Hi, recently i have been having a lot of problems with my rear wheel, no matter how tight it is it moves and rubs with the brakes, im running a Mavic Ex721. i was wondering if you guys had any ideas. Thanks Al
wayneone
Does the wheel move in the drop out? or say when you riding and you lean your weight over to one side of the bike does it rub then?If its moving in the drop outs you might have cracked your axel or twisted your frame, but twisting your frame is extreme so i doubt its that.If its the leaning problem then its your wheel build, the spokes are loose and are flexing over to the side when force is put onto it. Just give your spokes a tighten up.
Adrian
mate your cones are probably loose, just take it to your local bike shop and they'll do it for about £5...adrian
Tom Tom The Pipers Son
if its as tight as you can get it, (the axle does not move) then it will be your cones. if not, like the other fella said, it will probably by the frame twisted or cracked making the wheel move when pressure is applied to the pedal arm causing it to move over to one side as most have you will have experienced? apart rom that it may be the axle snapped or twisted, like the other fella said. i had this problem once but it turned out to be that my hub had cracked and was about to cave in! your best bet is taking it down to your local bike shop and letting them have a look at it.
