F-Stop Junkie
Just had a look at the Biketrial UK site, and noticed the Fort William event is no longer listed as a National Championships event, just a one-off.Has this been changed or did I misread it the first time around? I'd still like to go though, is it worth the journey?Oh, and thanks Barbara for changing the colours on the site, much easier to read now! JIX
Well on my printed version it says British champship round. Maybe they changed it as its miles out of the way for 95% of the riders??
F-Stop Junkie
Maybe, but Matt Tupman said the scoring for the championship allowed you to miss a round and not be penalised.
JIX
Ye I know that, but maybe people complained, or they realised they wouldnt get a very good turn out.I guess mat will explain soon.
cleanbikes
From the BTUK website ..."PLEASE NOTE THIS CHANGE - Our apologies to anyone who has already made arrangements to attend the planned round at Fort William - this has had to be changed because of a clash with the European BikeTrial Championship (see World News for more information). An event will take place at Fort William on the original date - but will not be part of the British Championship." Glad they got rid of fort william though, as it clashed with the outdoor euros.
ben_travis
Well thats just uber bollocks that is, really really gay.PLEASE NOTE THAT IS NOT ME SLAGGING OFF THE UK BIKETRIALS COMP ORGANISERS.......I really wanted to enter the british champs this year, and this was my chance, not thats all been ruined. Ah well suppose it cant be helped, its hard for us scottish riders to enter nationals, i mean 2 reet southern rounds is unfair on us...then to de-clarify the only scottish round.I dont give a shit about you boys complaining - "ooooo fort william is too far blah blah blah" my closest round its in yorkshire me thinks which is a minimum of 6hrs drive.<<<<<<<<<<ARGH BOLLOCKS>>>>>>>>>>Fort william was a successful comp, loads of people turned up and it was an absolute superb laugh, i met loadsa new guys, and the street ride on the evening was great. So dont go saying its too far or its not a proven venue or anything shit like that......THATS REEEEEEEET GAY Edited February 8, 2006 by ben@hulltrials

kbd
HeyWhy don't scotland have a round of trials (like a Scottish national trials organization), or something. It'll stop all complaining !!!We have just started having comps in Scotland run under NBTC Scottish series and there is alot more than 50 riders in scotland so with the help of Duncan Shaw and Ben Travis we are getting there so keep an eye on the NBTC web site for comps.
