anzo
I'm currently playing around with some pedals (caged ones you get witha t-bird) and i can't undo one of the bolts that holds the plates in, any ideas?Heat. Just a blow torch and heat the bolt up and then try undoing it, watch out though because they conduct heat VERY quickly (as experience told me yesterday).Watch out not to heat it too long though as they have plastic spacers. Are they used? Problem might be that they have bent in a certain was meaning the threaded plate is bent, or even the bolt may be bent.good luck.
deanie-b
pretty much what anzo said...Get a blow torch, and just glide it over the surface of the pedal, let the bolts heat up, and try and unscrew them slowly, if that fails, tap them with a hammer
Jaffacakes
QUOTE(deanie-b @ Feb 8 2006, 08:47 AM) ←if that fails, tap them with a hammerYep, slowly unscrew the bolt tapping it very lightly with a hammer as you are undoing it. Easily bent back but they're good for a few months use.
ogre
The bolts arent bent, my freind used "alternative locktite" (he borrowed em, and cleaned up up a bit, and tuk the bolts out etc) aka normal superglue, i don;t have a blowtorch will the gas cooker be ok? wayneone
Use a hair dryer mate or boiling water. For the glue its your saying you have put glue on yuor threads then bash the area around the threads with a hammer so this breaks the glue seal then try again.
