trials_pimp
RightI want to record audio from a Video, so I can make it into a ringtone.I want to get a line from a Standup commedy (Dave Chappelle) so I can use it as a text message tone. But, I cant find anything that will let me do so.A friend of mine once done it using Windows sound recorder, but I cant work it out, and just get nothing, or very very quite noise. Janson
you can just connect the speaker output to the microphone input. then disable the 'what you hear' audio from the microphone, ie so you can't hear what's being spoken or whatever into the mic.then use windows sound recorder or whatever to record.or you can open the file in a video editing program, find the clip, trim it, export the audio in mp3 or similar... the666ers
It is possible to do it with saound recorder Open it up and go to edit>audio properties> then edit the sound recording device to the output of your pc. If you've got it set up ok you should be able to record in real time and then edit the volume on the effects until it's gained high enough without distorting. Then save as, wav (it'll be massive in size) and change to mp3 using a converter. benno
get audacity off download.com and select "what u hear" from the record drop down box. you might have to download something else to encode it as mp3 for ringtones, but it's just a dll file called lame_enc.dll i think, it tells you where to put it.
