Olly C
I haven't seen any news on them yet so heres me bringing them to your attention..Echo Lite..Echo Pure..The Lite apparently is similar geometry to the '04 Team and the Pure is along the same lines as the '04 Control as well. For a full list of all current Deng Factory Frames see here (takes ages to load as ever and you may have to click 'show picture' on a few too)Olly. Mark W
Ooh, frame-age. There was a thread previouslya bout the seat-less Pure, but I'd only seen the mod on OTN.
JT!
My plan was just to get the team. Now i have to decide. The 'lite' looks much better than the team though. Edited February 4, 2006 by JT!
Olly C
My plan was just to get the team. Now i have to decide. The 'lite' looks much better than the team though.I thought the Lite might be a cheaper version of the frame maybe? It looks like an old '04 Team with a few CNC aditions but fairly... plain?I've got the Team Long though, its rather nice I'd definately go for that Olly. Walleee
My plan was just to get the team. Now i have to decide. The 'lite' looks much better than the team though.I beg to differ, i prefer the CNc'ing going on with the team, the headtube etc.Seems to be only the Bottom Bracket area CNC'd on the lite? Mark W
Certainly is, 'cept for poss. the actual dropouts? Meh. Anyway, I wonder if this is The House of Deng™ plan to royally rape Onza/Zona by releasing a decent, cheap mod frame? If they're charging £285 for the full-bore CNC'd Team, then surely this has gotta be less by a fair margin?

But that plan sounds about right, them trying to get budget bikes to the masses, koxx tried it... but not so well with the Dijiin but these look good frame but not too fancy could be onto a winner if the price is right. Then I could be wrong and these may be £300 frames
Endohopper
Deng / Echo are responsible for Czar ? O.K , guess I never saw that coming , makes me realise that I may think I'm interested in different manufacturers , but it's still all the same ( good ) company . Mark W
Yeah, it's funny in a way. Everyone's all arsey about Deng using different corporate identities for his different frames, yet if it was all just Echo or Zoo or just one main brand name, everyone would be fine with it. Don't really hear people slagging Koxx 'cos they've got loads of different frames? Yet people do with Deng 'cos he's got them under different brand names. Fair play to him, really. Makes good products that everyone likes*.*'cept for the shite components I guess
SQuiT-man
http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....31&hl=echo+pureThats thread said it was the "seatless" Echo pure.. so which is it?
Jules
Wow that echo lite is dam nice! Prefer the old control though.
Joe_Elding
I would be very surprised if it was the control and not a pure, the control was one of the best selling stock frames of last year why would they want to redesign it to something that is completely different? Hobnobs
I would be very surprised if it was the control and not a pure, the control was one of the best selling stock frames of last year why would they want to redesign it to something that is completely different? From what i have seen, i was assuming that these frames arent replacing any of the current models, but are simply catering for people who cant afford the high level frames. Deng is trying to kill onza i reckon.
PaRtZ
Deng is trying to kill onza i reckon.why can't everyone just be friends? You could be right howeverI like the lite. I really hated the circular cnc head tube shizzle and glad its gone
Josh Greenan!!!!!!!!!!
I used to hate the headtube on the team but now ive bought one it's grown on me.
Olly C
It says its a Pure in that link Olly posted Yea it's definately the Pure its not replacing the current Control or anything, same with the Lite is not replacing the current Team.. which is I might add Beautiful! The Team deinfately looks like a higher end frame, maybe one of the importers of Echo can shed some light on the pricing?
Hobnobs
I would guess the prices to be around 225 or so, maybe less as otherwise there wouldnt be a point to the lower priced range. I think the lite will become a very popular frame, as its looks pretty solid and hopefully cheap.
