planet-x-boy
Right lads i used to go through all of the kmc chains and all the little shity ones very quick. It was getting to the stage of 1 chain a week. I found a half link chain that looked very big and thick so i bought it and it was amazing, it lasted about 6months and then died. i bought anaother half link chain last week but it wasnt the one i origanaly had because iv heard they have stopped making them and it snapped tonight. What should i do?Brett

Endohopper
However well made the chain you choose is , ensure that it's set up and maintained well , too . Given the rate you were destroying them earlier "...It was getting to the stage of 1 chain a week..." I'm beginning to suspect that either they weren't joined correctly , or your sprockets may have been damaged . Check and clean your whole drivetrain before fitting whatever replacement you buy . Of course , it could just be bad luck , we've all had Repeated Chain Failure Syndrome at some time . Good luck with it , let us know how you get on . Si-man
Get a KHE collapse chain, nice chain, looks good and stands some hits if you twat it
planet-x-boy
The sprocket was all of a month old and so was the chainring up front. I cant maintain a chain when they only last a week lol. But yeah i always make sure everything is set up correctly before a ride BUT never seems to work.Has anyone else tryed the chains that the lad pointed out to me ^^^ if so how are they?Cheers

It's a bmx chain that i bought the other day, set me back £25 and i only ever ended up using one link from it so i could have a shorter kmc kool chain. Its loads bigger than the kmc though and the metal plates are thicker as well, so is the pin too. Seems to be running perfectly with my kmc and lets me have a really nice tension with my fresh products tensioner.

Lawnmowerman
I snapped a week old kmc chain in one pedal stroke. It's not hard
PaRtZ
The shadow conspiracy interlocker is w@nk (N) seriously, NOT RECCOMENDED for anyone. I was at that stage once, I htought it was ace and specced (in terms of tensil resistance) really well. Its very light, incredibly versatile, but weak. I would snap a link every week (and I mean shear a link in half) By the way, just because you snap a link, doesn't mean the chain goes in the bin You can still run it after its snapped once, so long as you have spares As for what you should do now: As echo scotty first said, get the KHE collapse

Krisboats
You bought a shadow consiricy chain...For one halflink?! WHATTTwell i was thinking of using it on my other bike , but i don't think i'm going to now. I might have a go at selling the links either seperately if theres enough interest on ebay or here and if not then i can just sell it as a whole chain. Thats the plan so far, i have still got to get round to selling them though .
