tomturd
Ello,I'm trying to get my bottom bracket out using minimal tools (read: a screwdriver, a BB tool and a crank arm for a hammer, NO spanner )Anyway, its not making my job easy 'specially because I cant remember which way the threads go.So, looking down on the bottom bracket (drive side) (my bike it lying on its side on the floor), which way do I need to unscrew it? clockwise or anti clockwise? Tomm
Cheers.Didnt work though, given up for the night That's because you were given bad advice . Drive side BB cups are reverse-threaded, therefore to get it out you'd need to turn it clockwise
Lawnmowerman
Jest remember that both sides undo towards the front of the bike so clockwise drive and anti non drive

Mark W
So spanner goes:Repeat with other hand for the other cup, 'cos it's "normal" not "opposite".
2sixstreet
Good luck getting it out without a spanner!!!
