Dashed
FIRST POSTIn the last few months i bought a t-raptor through ebay (item no. 5651291701) when i first saw the item i was kinda suspicious as to the fact hadn't included a photo of the actual bike but then i just shrugged it off as i was so eager to get into trials and it wasn't too far from where i lived. When i went to pick it up everything looked sweet to my inexperienced eyes. Then the next day i take it 2 my LBS for a service and he tells me that its a good frame with crappy parts (some OOOOLLLLDDDD skool shimano sis RM for one) and no shifter (how the hell i missed that i'll never know) ..............F**K. So after alot of swearing i figure i'll just have to spend a bi t more than i thought (thats cool cos then i could take some of those parts onto my next frame). So as my collection of parts increases i continue to practice on this pile of rubbish thinking i'll be fine......WRONG. When ever i pedal too hard something gives way and i end up launching my knee into the handlebars i don't know whats causing it to do that all i do know is that it hurts. And maybe this one might hav been my fault but i some how while trying a japslap smashed willyballs my on the stem . Sooooo i ve decided to take a break from riding but after noticing that some guys are coming down this saturday for a ride im tempted to go, but guys would it be better to turn up without a ride and walk home or bring Christine and get carried home? Guest
Take a break from riding, and the forum. Maybe you'll have time to work on paragraphing and punctuation.... Seriously though, the chances are the freewheel/freehub is bust, you'll probobly need a new hub.....

Street Lee
Take the bike down and let someone look at it, if they're decent folks they'll let you know what needs replacing Have a look at the teeth on the cassette, if they're looking haggard either get a new cassette or go for a singlespeed kit and do away with the gears for less maintenance! ogre
Would think that a "jap slap" would involve something sharp, maybe even blunt slamming, or perhaps slapping into the trio downstairs hehe >.<
mat hudson
a front touch ali btw alot of bikes have rear mechs and no shifters.
MikeCottTrials
a front touch ali btw alot of bikes have rear mechs and no shifters.i was just going to say that. alot of trials bikes run mechs because they run smooth and theres no need for a shifter since we dont use gears, you see gears are to fragile for the world of trials. good luck on the bike
