ogre
Whats the magical differance between metal and platic backings? there can't be anything jaw droppingly magic can there, or is the extra 10er realy worth it?
Janson
metal backings make the brake stiffer, look bloody pimp, last longer, and make a lovely rattly noise when braking... deffo worth it unless you can't be arsed changing the pad material around when it wears down.. Burton
AND cheaper in the long run, since they are refillable.
scott-mad
there awsome i could actually tell the differance when i put them on. i had an rb lever blade with coust pads and the plastic backings on them snapped even though there were the 35mm version. well worth the money and as said up there cheaper in the long run
durkie
from what i can tell, the metal backings all have some play when they sit on the piston...the heatsink ones and the plaz ones. that worries me...the plaz ones would break your piston head off, and i feel like it's a matter of time with the heatsink ones too.
