3 Years Out

Back in the day I was an avid trials rider. Was never particularly amazing but always really enjoyed myself and rode with an awesome bunch of people. Then in 2003 - due to back injury - I was forced to sell my Zero and had to say goodbye to the sport... Gutting.

Now its three years on and I've finally managed to get myself back into it (just hope my back holds out)!

Just wanted to say how much things have changed in trials... Can't believe the number of trials specific components on the market, and 26" frame geometry... Amazing what can happen in a few years! In a way i'm thankful people don't seem to rate Zeros any more, meant I got a bargain on one!

Hope things keep on improving!

Have you still got the zero?

Id love to see a few pics of it especially if youve still got all the old bits on it. I've only started riding again after about a 3/4 year gap too.

Cheers for the support everyone!

Don't have any pics of either zero i'm afraid. Seem to remember i bought my first digital camera with the money i got from selling the first one. I haven't actually taken delivery of the new one, should arrive monday though I hope.

That means I haven't actually managed to get myself out yet, apart from the fact my new bike still hasn't arrived, I've another week of uni exams until I can really. Can't wait though!

hey i live in mid wales, if you ever fancie coming up for a ride there are two riders here, me and onzaboymark.

i think im going to camarthern(sp) tomorow that should be fun.

add me to your msn list if you want.

That sounds good mate. Once i'm back on my bike and feeling confident enough I'll be well up for meeting up for a ride!

Very few riders in Cardiff from what i've seen, strange for a bigish city...

Cheers Matt! It'll be awesome riding back home again. Maybe do 'the gap' in coach street car park...

Ha ha, Marshall... Forgot about him, although I've probably got him to thank for getting me into trials. Weird little boy that one.

Yep, one black, one gold. Good times...

  • 10 months later...

i used to ride with friends, and took it back up in jan 06 after about 5 years... i'm now 24 and trying to ride downhill and trials in cardiff but have no friends this end of the country so rely on teaching myself and many lonely rides - i'm an introvert ,,it's ok-

you'll be fine!!!
