ScotchDave
It's on your pads, take em out, clean em with sommat, then sand em but only sand them on a perfectly flat surface, and in smooth unhurried circles to keep them flat. joe b
Yeah as said above, sand your pads down. But if you can get hold of a blow torch, then take you tyre and the like of and blow torch your rim. Or would that do damage to the rim? Cheers,Joe. Jaffacakes
Put your pads in the kettle and boil them, and fairy liquid your rim then hose down with water and dry it.

I seem to remember welding two rims together raped the material with Ali C's wheel, and although it wouldn't get as hot with the blow-torch, I don't think it'd be great.Anyway, the rim: Metholated spirits will clean your rim up so it's all nice and spangly. Alternatively, give it a good grind. Everyone loves a new grind For the pads, simply rubbing them on a rough brick wall 'til you can see the whole surface has been 'roughed up' is enough, generally. 'specially if you do the new grind idea. Either way, you've basically got to remove the surface layer, and it should turn out all nice again.Just make sure you learn from your mistakes
