All confirmed dates are now up (Y) 6 rounds of quality events

Also the addition of the open class which i think will interest a few riders who want to compete but not on a harder route.

BIU license forms and info is being sent out to all 2005 license holders tomorrow and friday (Y)

Don't be afraid to ask questions (Y)

How do we know at this stage if we will be riding international events or not??

Can we fill it in for the british license and upgrade it later if we will be riding international events??

I take it the europeans come under international?

EDIT: Who is going to go to Fort williams??

Well i know a lot of rider are all reading planning to go to the worlds/europeans/koxx days yes you can upgrade to a full license.

I think more people than you think will go to Fort William, i've been told by Fred Savage that there is a large group of riders up there who are dieing to ride some comps so it will give them chance to ride an event a little closer to home.

Might come along to the two Devon rounds and ride the open category, or just offer to observe. Looking forward to it.

So there are actually trials riders in scotland you know....

Its good for us because for most of us our nearest competition is in Yorkshire, and from abredeen where i stay thats a 6hour drive (just there).

Also the test event at fort william this year was very popular. It was a good atmosphere mixed with the DH world Cup, so I have no doubt that it will be popular this year as well. Its also going to be the middle of summer so it will be warm and dry (Y)

You should get up here, its well worth it.

Sorry I didnt mean to sound anti scottish. Just its very very far away from anywhere really. I always thought the trek to yorkshire was a big one for me. Just means I wont be doing all of the rounds I guess.

Good venue though, and good for people who dont usually get to do comps.

Just miles away :S

EDIT: Also it makes it very hard for people to do all of the rounds. e.g. if your close to the one in scotland then its a very long journey to the devon rounds and vice versa.

Just looking at costs for the year. Yes, it's going to be expensive, but I'm lucky being in Yorkshire that a couple of the rounds should be pretty cheap!

Given how much it costs to go to Devon - fuel, accomodation, pizza money - I don't think it'll be much more to go to Fort William, even flying there! Not sure how viable that is with a bike due to the measley baggage allowances internally, but even with a hire car, I expect it's going to work out only a few quid more than Devon - which we've now got twice too.

That said, all the accomodation is cheaper than that around Hookwoods!

Good to see new faces on the Biketrial comittee too. A bit of fresh blood is always welcome!

One point, can the colour scheme on the BiketrialUK website be changed? Such dark, contrasting colours always make my eyes go a bit weird when I switch to another site/application with a light background. Good to have a central point of info though for all competition type stuff!

People are more than welcome to stop off at my place in Taunton on the way down the night before, which breaks up the journey quite nicely, as its only an hour from me down to the devon rounds. And you get to ride with me and whiteboy :)

Dunno what I'll enter Matt, I might actually take a proper shot at the Brits this year. I'll catch you on MSN. (Y)

Argghh! There all miles away... And why is there a British champs round in Scotland :S . So looks like ill only be going to Addingham, Back Cowm and maybe Hook Woods. Not good, at all! (N)

Joe. <_<

It's a BRITISH Championship :) not a Yorkshire championship everyone should have a chance to have one of the trials near to them not all grouped up in one area

No this is very true but we are trying to expand the series, hopefully next year another club can take over one of our rounds and then it'll be an even more diverse (Y)

Just one point though there are actually 2 rounds in the Yorkshire region, not that i'm slitting hairs.

Oh and Scotland is part of Great Briton so i can't see any reason why they can't have a round, Wales have in the past.

6 rounds 6 differenet venues if people dont like it they dont have to do it? but to be fair its a good contrast from one end of the country to the other. so personally i see it as being very fair to anyone/everyone.

if they were all in the same place it would be crap for the people who lived to far down or too far up and would be pretty appauling and biased hence why the series is held over a few rounds etc etc. nice to see 6!!!! aswell im well chuffed with that and the scottish one is the one IF any that i would sign my name to 1st. would give up ALL of my other rides JUST for fort william. THAT HOW GOOD it was last year.

Waynio..........................

il probably attend them all though. im really looking forward to it. 2 in devon too, wil be nice to see some new land used down there aswell as kelly farm.

Back Qown i hate but its tough, im always dead when i ride there. altho there maybe a VERY interesting new venue in yorkshire NEXT year if there is 2 up here. as addingham is always a classic but i think this quarry were using tomorrow at the fun trial will be extremly good to use for a brit round.

Woohoo, I'm not 15 until two days after the last round which means i can still enter minime!

Should only be entering the devon and hook woods rounds though :(

Unless the rules have been changed which im pretty sure they havent you will have to ride cadet because you are gonna be 15 before the end of the year.I rode cadet when i was only 14 for all the rounds even though my birthday is at the end of october long after the rounds had finished.
