However, when i put the cd's into the computer i cannot access the song files to rip them to my computer. Does anybody know how to get round this? Thanks in advanceStu

tank_rider
What program are you currently trying to rip them with?I use media player, and fiddle with the settings so it gives me unlicenced mp3's. I've not got any copy protected cd's though.Copy protection on cd's really bugs me, I can see why companies do it, but it is totally legal to make backups of music that you own, and rip it for listening on a pc or mp3 player

haydon_peter
I have always used Audiograbber with the lame mp3 encoder so I can rip to a nice quality.Audiograbber is free off of download.com, you then need to follow links within the Audiograbber help file to get the lame codec.I dont know how it will cope with copy protected CD's though...
