Mark W
Anyone got any info on it yet? Don't know if I'm still a part of their newsletter thing, and I couldn't see any sign on their site, but didn't know if that was 'cos it hadn't been updated.'cos the British nationals seem to be up now, I thought the rest of the clubs like Tyketrial, etc. would be filling up the rest of the dates, but haven't heard anything from the YMSA people. Also, are they defo doing UCI rules? Mark W
Cool, I was rather hoping it would be UCI.Should throw a cat amongst the pigeons
F-Stop Junkie
Just out of interest, will UCI rules be applied to all categories? If a lumbering oaf fancies another shot at comps, then BIU rules in the lower classes would be good. But hey, gotta follow the rules on the day. Mark W
Thing is is that they're gonna be a little 'easier' than the BIU sections 'cos you can't use pedals or bash, so it'll be slightly more lower level, if you get me, so it shouldn't be too bad. Equally, you get 30 seconds longer per section? So it should be fine, really. I don't think it's suddenly gonna turn into a Coust-style 50" to front on jagged rock fest just 'cos you can't go to pedal
dave33
i dont think they will be easyer as im sure dave wants to push the uci here so us brits can do good in the worlds
Mark W
No, what I meant was that relatively speaking they'll be as "hard" as the BIU ones were, but 'cos you can't go to bash I'd have thought they would've altered them accordingly, instead of just doing the same routes but penalising you? Time will tell I suppose.
dave33
ah yes the sections will be marked out with uci in mind
tank_rider
wohoo, that means i should be able to do reasonably well this year as i always try to ride uci anyway (i hate smacking into stuff), now just need to get some decent practice on natty stuff, a week in the buthies area should be good for that

Mark W
Before, you could DL the routes to the comps and entry forms from the YMSA site, so hopefully that'll continue...
