Dan6061
Try heating up the hose, boiling water? That'll expand it, and should make it much easier to fit. Then it'll 'shrink' back to normal size when it cools down.
Jsy Ben
Tricky...2 barbs1 crossover hose1 hammer/mallet1 preferably a vice or use mole grips to clampand the two grey blocks included with the magura service kit...but you may not have these so *thinks on the spot* use a pair of pliers or if your delicate use mole grips on "low clamping force". 1# Place the hose inbetween the two grey blocks, or option 2 grasp the hose with the pliers with reasonable force, use your discrettion, try not to sandwich/ kink/ fold the hose with so much pressure.2# Now with the hose firmly in place (using the nesaccary leverage to hold the pliers/mole grips down if your not using a vice), as if you were hammering a nail into a piece of wood, take the barb and hammer it gently at first into the opening of the hose gradually hammering it further down again use your discrettion on how hard to hit the barb, try hard to keep it straight and after about 10mins of precise hammering it will be perfect. 3# Repeat for the other side, connect your new crossover into your cylinders and re-bleed. Think that is everything feel free to add/critisise it Edited January 17, 2006 by jersey rider
N.Wood
I gave up and found an old one to fit to be honest.Heating it up with a hair dryer on the hottest setting helped a fair bit though, try and get a mate/dad/Santa to help you.
