heli_flyer
HiI am just wandering if a 160mm rotor would work with koxx forks (26") or do I need the 190mm. Any help appreciated, could someone just clear up what works with what - im new to disk brakes! Thanks Edited January 15, 2006 by Sgianach
Jaffacakes
It will work fine mate. Its all to do with the depth of the caliper and where it is positioned not the forks .Wouldn't you be better off with a bigger rotor than a 160 though? The bigger the rotor more power. heli_flyer
Thansk for your help!Yeah, I am planning a bigger one. I bought the brake second hand so I am saving up for a bigger rotor, I am just going to run the 160 for now.

andypro1
if your going to use a disc on stock then get the 190mm rotor but if your wanting the 160 disc it would still work
wolfie
I think your right. If your forks have a + 30 mount, you will need a 30 mm larger rotor than that’s normally required for your disc brake. So if you decided to get the Hope mono trials with a 160 mm rotor, you will need to use a 190 mm rotor. I believe that the koxx forxx have a + 30 mount. Try checking on clean bikes or tartybikes to double check first though.
