Felix
You don't have to remove the snap ring. It just holds the bearing in place. After you have unsrewed the lockring, just pull off the outer ring (to the side where the lockring is).The you can clean pawls, springs and the ratchet. Bionic Balls
muahahahahahahahahahahahow did you not notice....BTW; since you have the spring clip off...take the blue seal off the bearings and give 'em a greasing too adam

Bionic Balls
is your freewheel skipping?if you're taking an acs apart...get some ice-cream tubs and take your time....get all the bearings back in with MINIMAL grease...and some wkd40 on ze pawls/springs..and remember to put it all back the right way up...that is frustrating...otherwise...don't bother...it's only a bmx ?adam
poopipe
Its pretty obvious what goes on inside an ACS when you open it. the Eno is all sealed which is why i got confusedwhen dismantling an ACS do it over an ice cream tub - DO NOT take it apart on the patio .. mat hudson
i wouldnt service an acs personally, just not worth the efforet, unless you're really really broke. they are a complete whore to service. i took the lock ring off mine to give it a propper flush out with GT85 and lost 4 or 5 bearings Edited January 17, 2006 by mat hudson
