mods
Within this next year i will be joining the Royal engineers, as you probably all know sport is a big part of army life life. They say " we do nearly every sport imagineable". I very much doubt they do trials. So if anyone on here is in the army.....? do they do trials and if not would it be possible to set up some kind of club/ team or place to practice. Please let me know if you think trials in the army is a good or bad idea.many thanks

Has anyone seen my shoe?
Well I had a lengthy discussion with a friend who is a an officer in charge of recruiting and a good friend and hes said if the amry dont do the sport, they want to. Also joining the engineers is a good choice, they'll let you use all their stuff. Are you joining as a private or officer?

mods
Thanks for your responce, i have emailed them about it all, when i have actually joined i will further this more. I'm sure there would be people in there who would love to try trials. If they do have a motor bike trials team then why not have a bicycle trials team, i thought that bike trials was to help you learn to do motorbike trials anyway?I know we'd have to " be the best " and have cammo bikes bike i still think it would be good! I'll keep you informed about what happens.

Has anyone seen my shoe?
Can i just ask a quick question off topic? how long is the minimum sign up for the Army?3-5 years. They want a long term commitment really.Although if you get injured they may discharge you and you get a lumpsum, but probably never able to ride trials again. yoyoyo
Although if you get injured they may discharge you and you get a lumpsum, but probably never able to ride trials again.Something to look forward to then. It would be cool if they had an Army trials team. You could use some of the tanks to ride on for a display.
mods
I guess i'm going in as a private, i don't think i have had a choice?.. Minimum sign up is four years, you get a forty grand lump sum if you do twenty two years. Just to say i'm not going into the army to ride trials more often lol. I have my own reasons, which i won't bore you with. I don't get hardly anytime to ride anymore, so it will be nice if i can continue my interest whilst i'm there.
