Dan6061
Why on earth haven't you asked to view the bike?I'd have gone round with loads of mates and just taken it! It's yours! I already asked to view it to get his address. Police are f**king useless. I just rang them now to see if they can get anyone round there at all. She said she'll have to speak to the officer in charge of it first. I said, but the house is literally a 2min drive from the Station you're in! Can't you just finish it now? Like I said, I don't want to interfere with her work. I then told her that she said she'll try again tomorrow, and if no luck, then she's going to pass it over to someone on a late shift, to go there once he finishes work. So surely they can get someone there now, or tomorrow evening, then just pass on to her that they've got him? GRRrrr...We need a better Police Force IMO. Chris from work just said maybe we should get a big group round to his, with all my papers proving the bike is mine, and simply just take it basicaly. ogre
Why doesnt everyone with an ebay account email him questions that he won't know shit about and spam him up hehe, i did that to my mates moms account lol! Also the police can't be that shit if they arrested my mate in 10 minutes after she graffittied on a wall

The police aren't so bad I suppose, but I just can't believe that I've done the hardest part of their job, and they can't even get ANYONE there to go and arrest him. tipsy Jock
It'd get obvious, and he'll probably end up chucking it. The police aren't so bad I suppose, but I just can't believe that I've done the hardest part of their job, and they can't even get ANYONE there to go and arrest him. They'll probably be doing some checking about first before diving in at the deep end. Also despite how much you love your bike its a low priority to the Police in comparison to most crimes especially since they've got the guys name, address etc, your proof of purchase etc and the ebay stuff already. Just a matter of time, sure you'll get your bike back

Jez
Anyone know the legalities of a citizen's arrest? Get the little $hit. I have NO sympathy for these little gits (having had two bikes nicked that I pured my heart, soul, and a small fortune into).
MadManMike
You can use "Reasonable force" - Who determines what resonable force is?And Mark, I wouldn't care what the circumstances were, if it was my bike i'd take it back. tomturd
Could just ask for a test ride and bugger off on it, obviously say you've been driving for 2 hours to get there as to not raise suspicion. But i'd personally wait for the police to do their job, however long it takes. Dan6061
All i say is fair play for him nicking it such a nice bike not seen a much nicer one but when u see him punch him back to bang cock No not fair play for him to nick it. Yes it is a nice bike, but doesn't give ANYONE the excuse to nick it out the back of a bus, possibly after seeing a 15yr old put it in. It's just harsh. And yes I would very much so like to kick the shit out of him, but better have the police arrest him, fine him, and get him done for all the drimes he has commited then have me possible get done for GBH or whatever aswell. I'll still happily 'acidently' scratch his car with the pedals..or bashplate
fruitbat
Anyone know the legalities of a citizen's arrest? Get the little $hit. I have NO sympathy for these little gits (having had two bikes nicked that I pured my heart, soul, and a small fortune into).I think you actually have to see the crime taking place. A citizens arrest in this case wouldnt work as their is no clear evidence(no one seen it actually happen) . Yeah we all know its Dans bike but life aint that simpleThis has got to bed one of the biggest TF stories i have seen. lets hope it all ends with smiles Edited January 12, 2006 by fruitbat

I honestly don't believe he put that! Anyway I hope you get the bike back, Dan. Good luck.
