Dan6061
Police just rang me. She said she couldn't make the arrest today becuase of other commitments. And that she's going to try again tomorrow. I then told her that I know he's home from work around 5:30pm, and she said she couldn't go then becuase she's not working lates. If she can't make the arrest tomorrow, she's going to pass it over to someone doing a late shift to go there during the weekend to do it. el curevo
And hope the b*****d get's what he deserves..may even have to 'accidently' put a lovely scratch down the nice black, shiney pickup that was on his driveway. Sounds good to me, hopfully he will leave his garage and front door open again, im sure we could think of something comical to do! Should have been all sorted last night but thats police for you. What time you going to pick it up mate?

Im thinking we should go down again, with a few people, show him your pics and reciepts and say to him, 'can you explain this?' Have guildford in the car and tell him 'i have a weard animal in the car and im not afraid to let him out! Or do what i did and pay someone to nick it back for you Edited January 12, 2006 by el curevo

mr kenny
just hope he's not reading this topic, it ain't hard to find the forum if he knows bout tartybikes.....
anzo
Dan, you might want to start bidding on your bike about now. If the police thing doesn't go to plan the bike could be sold and shipped before the police do anything, then your well and truly fecked. If you bid and put about 99 million as a max bid you will win (unless he gets 99 million and 1 pence) and then you can make sure it wont be sent anywhere. Also, with you putting a high bid on it, it will make him think hes getting a bit of money out of a good find...and then theres a knock on the door

Iain C
good point, where did he get the spec from? The frame spec is copied off tartybikes and a lot of the stuff has its name on it, zoo bars etc. Only thing that is weird is he knows they're koxx pads, when koxx pads don't have koxx written on them anywhere...unless they've changed. Maybe he asked tarty or something? Although he did get the wrong colour. Or just did his research on la internetio.Anyway good luck getting your bike back Dan. It's yours!Yeah i'm with him.ALthough you'd have to be careful not to hit him, break and enter etc etcBut ask to view the bike, let him invite you into the house then ask him to make you a cup of tea or something then take it, try and get someone to video it on their phone for the police. Mark W
All well and good except that:He's already told the police, so they're gonna be a bit suspicious if he suddenly drops it.The other guy may have bought it from the person who stole it, and therefore he'd think it was being stolen off him.etc.It just wouldn't be a good idea would it?
