downhill_rob2@hotmail.com Posted January 2, 2006 Report Share Posted January 2, 2006 I have searched, and then found nothing out about this...I have my tensile cranks (non-driveside if that helps?) and i got a pair of V12 magnesiums today, when i wanted to put my pedals on, i found out the back thingy on my threar insert has fell off, and it doesnt have one on, and when i try to screw the pedal out, the thread insert just comes out with it. and i cant get it off my onza pedals to put on my new V12's, anyone help?Maybe just buy a new one? its only £6 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Swize Posted January 2, 2006 Report Share Posted January 2, 2006 Why not try aralditeing the insert into the cranks then just unscrew the pedle?Or maby wack the insert in a vice ect.All else fails pm me; i have an insert you can have for a few £. Just undo the pedal with the insert, clean it up, whack some araldite on both sets of threads, tighten it up and leave it to set. Then, simply undo the pedal. Ching I tryed the vice jobby, and its f**ke dthe threads up real bad, so it looks like a new one it'l be!
