Ali C
on sharp grinds you will be lucky to get a week from them.I found mine worked really well on a smooth or slightly ground rim, give everything a clean and try them again

Ali C
well, I have never done a smooth grind, but I recken only just touch the grinder on the rim, just enough so it marks it, but no more.

Also, put the grinder up to full speed, the faster the better, and then just barley touch the grinder to the rim.Id try cleaning the rim up and the pads first of all though. munkee
For a really fine grind use the diamond edged cutting discs (usually for masonary)
