TheMunn
Another tpoic by myself but I was just wondering if those of you who ride mod have long bikes, and how long they are and also if they are longer than they are ment to be. Like my bike, I have the 06 python frame which should be 1045, but mine is 1060!!! This is with the viz curve fork. I suppose it would make a small difference if I were to change the fork ? Give or take a few mm Just find some forks that don't have a rake\curve to them.
Joe_Elding
I ride an '04 echo team which is 1055 with echo easy's. i reckon i could make it 1060/1065 if i had the wheel right back in the dropouts
Sponge
Err, the reason the CLS Python is 1060, is because the 1045 wheelbase is measured from the inner most bit the axle can go into the dropout, err JT had a diagram thingy of Monty's measurement system. So in reality the 1045 and 1005 of the Zoo! Pythons are merely ways to get a definite wheelbase measurement, and CLS ones should float atound 1060 and Yao Zhis tend to float around 1010-1020ish. Mind you my chainstays of my Yaozhi are measured at exactly 370mm, when the factory geo is 362mm, if you measure your CLS' you might find the chainstays to be around 385 something!I'll need JT's Monty diagram to explain better. Mark W
This is all weired to me .Sooo say you had a 1035 mod frame then put some echo easys on it would be diffrent ?Sam Yes? Think about it, different length of fork leg means the head angle will be changed, so it'll have a different WB. Equally, leg angle and leg curve means again that the WB will change. Going from FallGuys to the CNC'd Teams added 20-25mm to my wheelbase, and changed other stuff like BB rise, and so on.Couldn't get on with any X-Lite I've ridden. Too short - just feels wrong!
