Try getting the longest BB available, ChainReaction have one Here Link should add the correct one to shopping basket If not, get the: UN53 Sq Taper 68-127.5mm. Probably why it doesn't ride like shit Anyways, you may have to invest in a smaller rear freewheel, basically. If you get a 16t rear you could run 20:16, which might be OK. Try and get the ratio to as near as 1.5 as possible (by dividing the front gear by the rear), as that's the ideal ratio for mod pretty much. It'll be a little easier to pedal than a standard mod gear, but you'll need a 15t freewheel to work it out properly otherwise, so you'd need a flip-flop hub...So yeah, 20:16.
