munkee
Right first thing i wanna change on the new car is the headunit. Purely because the stock one looks gash as f**k. Was talking to ben last night and he said buying a new one for him made the bass better in the car. Also whenever ive read topics before about headunits everyone says its the most basic way of improving sound. What i want to know is how does that work? mod_rider
Most likely just higher quality of build, and they probably use gold connectors or something. Also usually with a new head-unit, you might buy an amp to power more speakers, which increases the bass by loads. In just bought this bad boy Alpine 9847 which means I can change the song on my ipod from on the head unit. Its quality. But yeah, it's worth upgrading in my opinion, better sound quality, and if you change cars, you can move it to the next one easily. Sam Nichols
You can do that with most modern headunits. You just need the adapter All pioneer units with a P infront of the model code are compatible. petit_pablo
An after market head unit for your car will improve the sound a little over a standard one. After market units are generally much more powerfull so the signal they send to the speakers is stronger and cleaner. To get a much improved sound, you need to replace the standard speakers as well.Or for the best sounding, start from scratch, soundproof the car, put in new cables, headunit, speakers, amps etc
