Joel
Yeah, exactly. I think the Apple shop prices are the same as online so now I don't know. They have a different discount to the online to the retail store. online is like 7% and retail is like 13% (not exact i cant remember). When I went to purchuse my macbook (£999 rrp) i could of got it online for £912 but i got it in store for £859. Also I think it could be different to what kind of education. JonMack
I have all my apps. May aswell take your mac just incase. on my macbook (intel core 2 duo) quite new yes everything runs as smooth.... well as smooth. i dont see it failing on your powerbook nor running slow, should really run just aswell as mine. When installing my dad had a problem with it saying "cannot update" so he spent a whole day backing up his harddrive and then before whiping his laptop clean, it worked so then he had to wipe his back ups in order for timemachine to work. I say go for it I mean to be honest there isnt many major difference (well not 300) but it is nicer and easier. Mainly depends weather you can be bothed with money and 1 hour updating. When i was updating it first said it was going to take 4 hours 47 mins then kept cutting down to about 50 mins total. An hour? I did two in less than an hour earlier. Jonny Jones
Ive got a Mac G5 and im running Tiger atm. I can't see any reason to upgrade to Leopard. As far as I can see its purely aesthetic tweaks as well as a few programs I wouldn't use anyway. I miss Windows sometimes though, purely for MSN + Webcam! Mac's dont do webcams unless you're using gay iChat... which nobody else uses cos most people have PC's lol!

Theres too much to list but I wouldn't go back to Tiger now. You have to see it to believe it.aMSN for webcam slags by the way
Greetings
Here's mine at the moment. Considering replacing the left monitor with another 24" screen, the current setup is still too small

Also stuff like spaces, quick look, cover flow view and network access is much improved.Enough for me to not want to go back too.
