CriminalTrials.co.uk
Hey guys, dropped my ipod mini today and now its displaying an exclamation symbol and wont do anything else no matter what i do, ive tried charging, plugging into pc, restoring etc but nothing will fix it. So i looked on the apple site and filled in the service request form in which ive now completed and they are apparently sending me a box for me to send the ipod to them in to be fixed/replaced. Has anyone done this before?? Ive herd of a friend of a friend who sent his back and he got a free replacement is this whats going to happen to me or am i going to have to pay as there is no reference to prices on the apple site Anyone know ???ThxDanny Edited December 29, 2005 by Yorkbiketrials.co.uk

trials_rocks
My sister did the same to hers. Rang them up, told them its knackered. Couple of days later they came to pick up the broken one, then a new one was delivered a week later.
Dai the Socket
Same as the others, 3 times.Had a 3rd Gen non colour, it broke, i got a free Photo one. Then the photo one broke and the guy i sold it to got a free replacement. And on my Nano, I took it biking, it snapped, I got a free, brand new one and a £30 gift voucher with Apple for my 'inconvenience'. Not too bad 'eh?Apple especially rock at after sales service stuff...

Bah, they've got used to needing to be good at after sales stuff, they'll get enough people coming back...
anzo
MY battery buggered up on mine, I used the form on the apple.com website and they sent me a parcel via UPS andI had to put my ipod into it and send it back. A week or so later they sent me a brand new one.I had loads and loads of dents on my old one, been abused abit after dropping it all the time, got the new one out the packing and instantly dropped it the second I stepped outside!
