trialsinchris
took me about 3 week to learn i think, try to get on back wheel anyway you can like stoppie then lean back or whatever you find best then pedal just a little and lock brake on then let brake off and pedal again and keep doing this, when you can do that easily try to get on back wheel and hop still not forward or back then try joining both theese together. hope i helped. Mitch A
It took me about two months to learn pedal hops.My problem was i was kicking the pedals but i wasn't hopping. So i learnt back hops but then i couldn't merge hopping and pedal kicking together. But i slowly started synchronizing them together and got pedalhops dialed CheersMitch

Up'n'away
Yes do. Try set your self little tasks such as " Hoping to the kerb and up" ect. This is what i did, i used the lines on the road alot aswell, I found trying to do it in open space was harder for some reason.Brad

Trials_Batts
Hi. Try riding a unicycle, it helped me improve back hopping, balancing and ect.
scott13
it took me about 3 weeks of riding to learn, but when acually trying to peadal hop it took me about a week. The key thing is just to keep practising and dont give up you get there soon
Jaffacakes
I learn't to do it in a few days. Don't get frustrated and just stay chilled out. I learnt to hop on my back reasonably comfortably before I went to pedal hops and it has given me alot of control on my back wheel. Try going onto your back wheel then doing a wheely, then you can do the same basic action by jumping up while you are wheelying then holding your break don't give up.
