Onza Kieron
I was thinking about getting a mod bike just to mess around on as a second bike. I was looking at a Dabomb or a Mission and it had a 14mm rear axle, is this standard for MOds to have or if I break the rear hub will I have to go hunt a BMX hub? Please spare the coments of "Dabombs r pizes of sht, nt wrth da cash"Thanks in advance, Kieron Edited December 29, 2005 by onza kieron
PaRtZ
14mm axles are common amongst low grade mods, but no the "norm" is 3/8" or 10mmEDIT: Oh if you break it, I have one spare which I want to get rid of Edited December 29, 2005 by PaRtZ
Bionic Balls
i'm pretty sure the higher end onza's, koxx and monty use a 10mm axle. But this is hollow and hence has a bolt going into it.the cheaper bikes use a solid axle and wheel nuts....and it sounds like a big b*****d one too-14mm. It might be possible to use smaller though- see if you can have a look closely at one...adam
Onza Kieron
It's just i don't want to be spending a bomb on a Mod just to bash around on and when it breaks spend another bomb on replacing it. What rear axle does the T-Bird have?

CurtisRider
t birds have 10mmyou can buy axle reducers form most bmx shops, the simply allow you to run a 10mm axle in a 14mm frametry www.alansbmx.com for them this should end your woes, but in all honesty you are better off with a better frame-trying out mod on a shit frame will just make you hate it and regret getting the thing i found this out the hard way
