Mod Rear Hubs? Quick Question

Recommended Posts

I was thinking about getting a mod bike just to mess around on as a second bike. I was looking at a Dabomb or a Mission and it had a 14mm rear axle, is this standard for MOds to have or if I break the rear hub will I have to go hunt a BMX hub?

Please spare the coments of "Dabombs r pizes of sht, nt wrth da cash"

Thanks in advance, Kieron ^_^

i'm pretty sure the higher end onza's, koxx and monty use a 10mm axle. But this is hollow and hence has a bolt going into it.

the cheaper bikes use a solid axle and wheel nuts....and it sounds like a big b*****d one too-14mm. It might be possible to use smaller though- see if you can have a look closely at one...

t birds have 10mm

you can buy axle reducers form most bmx shops, the simply allow you to run a 10mm axle in a 14mm frame

try www.alansbmx.com for them :) this should end your woes, but in all honesty you are better off with a better frame-trying out mod on a shit frame will just make you hate it and regret getting the thing :( i found this out the hard way :P
