Rich Pearson
Rich Pearson...............i did what you did thursday night when you jumped off your house roof thing. i climbed a sign on a night out and jumped (more like fell!!!!) off and landed both ankles, was in hospital friday morning haha was on cruthes friday saturday and came off them xmas day cos i was severly not happy, went riding xmas day with 2 ankle supports on my right foot and a support bandage on left hahahence why people may have seen me hobbling when jumping off, it was to stop the pain going through my right foot. but hey it was all for a good cause. riding bike is more important than pussy footing around doing nowt all day haha i just cant lounge around at all it sucks.Waynio.....................PS 1st leeds ride iv been on where i havent been moved along all the time, couldnt believe it, altho it was xmas I do occasionally wonder if people will ever learn from some of the mistakes that I have already made before them. Not so much these days.... Hope you're ok buddy, get well soon.Rich
Rob_P
Not bad, not bad at all since you've only just got YOUR cam.Although one thing that stands out is that in the majority of the pics the sky/building is all burnt out. Now this is something I quite often find but recently i've learnt how to overcome it.Now on your cam switch the metering to "spot" meter and zoom in on midtone where you are going to take a photo. Then make sure the light levels are rite judging on the light meter, funnily enough lol.But depending on light etc you have to componsate by over or under exposing by half a stop or whatever. Then use flash to fill in the rest of the photo. I've found this quite handy lately. For example on the photo of Wayne givin it some real pasty you may expose for the dark side of the wall, or the door.Anyway im just nit picking really but it will make a difference.Rest of photos are real nice, espically the ones of Wayne with leg out and then falling off!CheersRob
Tomm
That's really helpful actually, cheers. It was probably a lot more apparent that day because the sun was really bright and low, so there were shadows all over the place. I had to discard a load of pics because they were underexposed in half the pic and overexposed in the other half. But I will certainly have to experiment with using the flash next time
