bhups Posted December 24, 2005 Report Share Posted December 24, 2005 helloMy back brake is not working as well as it should it slips a bit when you tooth pick and when slightly land on the edge or when you land really vertical but when you start going it gets better. i am running plazmatic crm's and a medium grind. i have cleaned the pads and rim, only had the pads about a week.any advice or help is much needed. koxx1 Posted December 24, 2005 Report Share Posted December 24, 2005 (edited) you need a harsh grind if your running plaz pads they should work well then.or maybe you just haven't set them up well enough? my brake was doing the exact same i set the brake up better applyed a dab of tar and its working fine. If you use anything like WD40 etc, that's why you're brake'll be shit Errrmm...Try riding/pushing the bike along with the brake on, to dry up the rim, and spread all the fairy liquid round abit. One thing I found works aswell, is deodrant. Srap a bit over the rim, and any crap will literally rince (sp?) off the rim. Then just dry it, and ride Could also try a fresh grind?
