Mat Smith!
A grinder if your really confident or take it down to your LBS. May have to pay a little bit though. The tool is only like 4 pounds anyway, but it's really hard to take off if you haven't done it beforeMat
basher
take the teethed outer shell off with a hack saw or grinder. put whats left of the freewheel into a vice it needs to be tight. use a mallet or if your not bothered a hammer. and hit the crank arm as if you are unscrewing it off. and it should just screw off once loose hope this helped
wilky_mod_legend2
sounds dangerious ^^^^^^^^oh the freewheel it has lil holes i thought thats how you could get it off??wilky
basher
its not dangerous at all the only way you can damage anything is if you use a hammer and not a mallet. you arn't damageing your crank because its the freewheel in the vice

Jeza
The only way is to use a screw driver and tap it round i think, not easy though, a tool would be mostly desired
basher
i tryed the screw driver and you have to give it a real crack as the freewheel is on proper tight i just give up in the end. theirs no harm in trying though
