DeeZee
OK, the new Tarty wheel is on. The single speed is up and running (with some mods), but now, everytime I get on the back wheel, or as I pedal to get on the rear wheel, the rim flexes, and starts to rub on a pad??Its the pad on the other side of the chain. Its baffling me. Its only when I'm on my back wheel. But its doing my head in, cos its flexing like 3-4mm. So my brakes are all the way off the rim, to compensate for the flex, which means the braking has gone utter crap.Any Ideas?

It may be that a few spokes need tightening. Get some you know to do it for you. If that dosnt solve it look at other components. Are cranks, bb, frame ect all good as it could be those flexing good luck anyway.

basher
could it be that one pad is pushing against the rim first pushing the. just an idea
Josh Greenan!!!!!!!!!!
My back try all wheel has done that the brake slips all the time it gets worrying when you are on a rail lol
mad dan
I had the same problem and I found out it was my frame flexing not the rim. So I bodged a 4 bolt booster to fit my 2 bolt mounts and it has seemed to solve the problem. Edited December 24, 2005 by mad dan
MesaMan
Stop moaning, my brakes are much worse than yours and have never touched them - and they sit an uneven distance from the rim!
