Sam Oliver
i thought try-all rims were not very strong????That's a matter of opinion, Ive run tryall drilled rims for the last 9 monthson my practice bike with no probs. If you think thats not a long time i ridemy bike alot & it does mostly rocks. You have to keep a eye on the spokeslike any wheel & they can hold a grind well too. Mark W
I wouldn't say the Try-Alls were particularly weak, just that they can't hold a grind to save their lives. 1 week max before my first grind on the rim was pretty much just a memory. Nice Anyways, the DX-32 is a strong rim, BUT it's pretty narrow, which makes it a bit of a whore to setup a 4-bolt MAgura with most of today's frames. You have to either have a load of pad material left, or over-fill the Magura so the pistons are normally further out, but either way, it's not great. For the front, you could go for the Try-All or Echo, really. I've had a Try-All up front since April and I've had no problems with it at all. Can't remember off-hand, but I think they come in 32H too. Either way, good for the front
