trials_pimp
Im running Itunes, and its sitting in the back ground converting a few files as the do when you import a new Libary. So my computer starts running slow and dodgy, so i check the system resources, and the CPU is maxed out.But as soon as I close itunes, it goes to 2%, thats with winamp and other bits running.I fail to see that itunes would need over 98% of my CPU.Why the hell is it soooo high???Its a 2.8Ghz Proesessor if you needed to know
biketrialler
Its in the background importing files? Of course CPU load is high, its importing files What do you expect it to do?

Tomm
It's nothing to do with whether Windows sux or whatever, it's just what Bennifer said. It's just in the middle of copying songs to your library. I.e. moving songs from one place on your hard drive to another... It's a pretty stupid system really, because you end up with two copies of each file, unless you delete the originals. But anyway, when it's finished doing that it will take up no more than 20Mb of ram and about 2% CPU.

Tomm
iTunes is really good, as long as you don't mind copying everything first. It's a bit of a pain in the arse, I am of the opinion that programs should work how YOU want them to, not do everything their way. Which is why iTunes sucks. But if you can live with that, it's a nice music player
